Es profesora de psiquiatr\u00eda en Orygen y en la Universidad de Melbourne, Australia. Ha recibido el premio de Oficial de la Orden de Australia.<\/p>\n<p>Es miembro de la Comisi\u00f3n de The Lancet sobre Salud Mental Global y Desarrollo Sostenible, y preside la Comisi\u00f3n de The Lancet-WPA sobre depresi\u00f3n cuyo informe se publicar\u00e1 en 2020. Es copresidenta del Consejo del Futuro Global del Foro Econ\u00f3mico Mundial sobre Tecnolog\u00eda para la Salud Mental 2019 -20.<\/p>\n<p>En el pasado, como profesora y directora de psiquiatr\u00eda en St. Vincent's Health Melbourne, lider\u00f3 el desarrollo de un servicio de salud mental de \u00e1rea integrada bajo la reforma nacional de atenci\u00f3n de salud mental de Australia. Durante un a\u00f1o se desempe\u00f1\u00f3 como asesora regional en salud mental para la Regi\u00f3n del Pac\u00edfico Occidental de la OMS. Sus intereses de investigaci\u00f3n y pr\u00e1ctica en los campos de la atenci\u00f3n de la salud mental comunitaria, la promoci\u00f3n de la salud mental y la salud mental de las mujeres incluyen la salud mental de los grupos marginados, como las mujeres y los hombres j\u00f3venes que viven bajo el cuidado del estado. She integrates over 15 years of experience as a conflict resolution practitioner, researcher, and educator\/trainer both in Australia and internationally.<\/p>\n<p>Judith is a nationally accredited mediator under the Australian Standards (NMAS), accredited Conflict Management Coach (CCI), and trained in group facilitation and restorative justice group conferencing. Judith has been practising as a conflict management specialist since 2011 through her consultancy \"Conflict Coaching Cairns\" and as mediator on the mediation panel at the Cairns Dispute Resolution Centre.<\/p>\n<p>Judith is an internationally respected researcher with notable expertise in qualitative studies with vulnerable populations. Her PhD, focusing on justice for victim-survivors of sexual violence, has earned her multiple awards. Judith has published widely in conflict resolution, violence against women and genocide, and has presented at multiple national and international conferences.<\/p>\n<p>As a Senior Trainer at the Conflict Management Academy and in her former role as Senior Lecturer and Director of the postgraduate Conflict Management and Resolution program at James Cook University, Judith has significantly contributed to the field of conflict studies. She has created multiple resources and practical tools to assist individuals in analysing and engaging constructively in complex conflict situations. Doctor en Econom\u00eda de la Universidad de California en Los \u00c1ngeles (ULCA). Actualmente es director del Centro de investigaci\u00f3n IMAGINA de la Universidad de los Andes. Su \u00e1rea de investigaci\u00f3n es la microeconom\u00eda aplicada y la evaluaci\u00f3n de pol\u00edticas p\u00fablicas. En los \u00faltimos 12 a\u00f1os ha centrado su trabajo en el dise\u00f1o, implementaci\u00f3n y evaluaci\u00f3n de intervenciones para la promoci\u00f3n del Capital Humano. Esta agenda tiene dos cap\u00edtulos. El primero, se centra en estudiar el impacto de las adversidades en la ni\u00f1ez \u2014tales como la exposici\u00f3n a la violencia, el desplazamiento forzado y la pobreza\u2014 sobre el desarrollo humano, concentr\u00e1ndose en el dise\u00f1o y la evaluaci\u00f3n de intervenciones que permitan mitigar dicho impacto. El segundo, se concentra en estudiar programas y pol\u00edticas p\u00fablicas que promueven el desarrollo humano desde el sistema educativo y el sistema de salud. Community mental health, especially addressing intergenerational trauma, has increasingly become the focus of her work. Maria has completed field research in a variety of contexts, notably with Aboriginal communities in remote Australia, as well as post-conflict settings in Kenya, Uganda, and Mozambique.<\/p>\n<p>Maria holds a BA in Psychology from Elmira College and a PhD in Applied Ethics (Global Justice) from the University of Melbourne. Her enthusiasm for working with students has led her to teach at universities across Australia, most recently at James Cook University as part of their MA Program in Conflict Management and Resolution. Kirsty also has experience working in the humanitarian sector, including work that supports the inclusion of communities with diverse SOGIESC in crisis, and her time spent in Maharashtra, India with RedR for post-flood hygiene promotion.<\/p>\n<p>Before working for Community Works and Kindred, Kirsty was a consultant with Edge Effect, an organisation that assists humanitarian and development organisations to work in genuine partnerships with sexual and gender minorities. At Community Works, Kirsty informs decisions around work that requires a deeper understanding of diverse SOGIESC inclusion.<\/p>\n<p>Kirsty graduated from the Master of Development Studies at the University of Melbourne with Honors, and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Politics &amp; German, and a Diploma in French. She wrote her Master\u2019s thesis on the disaster risk reduction agenda within the context of floods and the monsoon season in Bihar, India. She was interested in uncovering how the writers, implementers and improvisers of disaster management flood policies in Bihar imagine, prepare for and absorb the annual monsoon season. He was Chief Operating Officer of the Centre for Appropriate Technology, a national Indigenous organisation in Australia, and Asia Director of BasicNeeds, an international organisation that focuses on mental health and development.<\/p>\n<p>Steve has been appointed an Honorary Fellow at the School of Social and Political Sciences at the University of Melbourne since 2016, where he teaches on the Masters in International Development. He was formerly a board member of Intermediate Technology Consultants, the Colombian Children\u2019s Foundation and Remotebiz and he was the Chair of the Mental Health Association of Central Australia.<\/p>\n<p>Steve is an advisor to multiple organisations, notably Ninti One (since 2008), the World Psychiatric Association (since 2014) and ConnectED (since 2018). His management expertise includes professional coaching, staff management, strategic development and attracting resources for new ventures. He has been a member of successful start-up teams that attracted major investment from multiple sources including the CRC for Remote Economic Development ($32m), the Young and Well CRC ($35m) and CitiesRISE ($14m).<\/p>\n<p>Through the experiences summarised above, Steve has developed a range of specialised skills including in development practice, NGO strategy, scaling successful programs, community mental health, participatory research, monitoring and evaluation for social development programs, community development and appropriate technology. As a facilitator of over 300 workshops in a range of settings in Australia (especially with remote Aboriginal communities), the Pacific, South and South-East Asia, Africa and Latin America, he is accustomed to working through complex issues with multiple participants. Steve is considered an ethical and considerate professional who is open, inquisitive and a critical thinker. Carolina has extensive fieldwork experience, mostly in the Amazon and she has coordinated several projects focused on education, cultural strengthening and development of economic alternatives for Indigenous groups.<\/p>\n<p>Carolina has developed multiple skills as a social science researcher, using qualitative methods for data collection and analysis. Her research experiences include an exploration for the International Labour Organisation (ILO), identifying barriers Indigenous people face in accessing the labour market in Colombia; she recently developed a case study on \u2018Alternatives to coercion\u2019, commissioned by the World Psychiatric Association (WPA) and the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatry (RANZCP), focusing on a psychiatric clinic in Bogot\u00e1.<\/p>\n<p>During the past three years Carolina has been involved in the design and implementation of community mental health and well-being initiatives.
